41 cull sheep sold to £120 from S Bristow; to average £95.63.

A few less hoggs forward than last week perhaps with a few people unsure of the trade, but as expected trade lifted roughly 14p/kg with an overall average of 234p/kg. Top price of the day once again went to regular mart supporter Andrew Dobson for two pens of beltex types grossing £134p/head or 291p/kg. Good to also see a couple of vendors we haven’t seen for a while! Many more hoggs can be handled each week.

In the cull section, ewes topped at £120p/head from local vendor Steve Bristow, ewes not just as strong a trade but averaged 95.63p/head.
