A brilliant number of hoggs forward with 358 through the market today. Top p/kg going to M L Parvin at 291p/kg for 2 40kg hoggs. Top gross price of the day went to D C Newsom making £140/head for a pen of 3 60kg well finished hoggs. Some very good, well fed hoggs forward today from vendors old and new, all welcome and plenty of sheep can be handled every week!

In the ewe section a small show to £110 from M L Parvin, not a lot of size or flesh on the market today which reflects in the average. A Pen of mules looked well sold at £92/head from H Sergeant & Sons.

9 cull pigs sold 75p/kg (three times) from J T Horsley.  

Live Pigs sold to 220p/kg today with several pens over 200p for lighter weights. Gilts averaged 191p/kg when one year ago we averaged 66pp/kg, What a difference a year makes. Sows topped at 75p today (19.5p one yar ago) Momentum in supply and demand has definitely shifted to the sellers favour.
