Slightly less hoggs in today but still a good show of 318 were forward. Selling to a top gross price of £138/head twice from D C Nesom. Top p/kg once again from regular vendors R A Dobson and M L Parvin for 40kg hoggs selling to 293p/kg. SQQ 250.23 and overall average 244.15p/kg. A lift in trade on the week of 11.7p. Quite a few more ewes forward this week with 87 forward selling to £126 for continental types, £95/head for mules. A consignment of Highlander X Aberfields from Fridlington Farms also sold to £95/head. All in ewe average a respectable £86.32 with just a couple pens of smaller and leaner sorts pulling the averaging back a touch. Plenty more well fed hoggs and ewes needed every week!
