SHEEP

A very small show of lambs forward today, with lambs on farms either not quite being fit yet or the wet weather holding a few back from being drawn, leaving buyers well short for orders! The overall average lifted nearly 14p on the week to average 277.54/ kg. Top price of the day for both ppkg and gross went to Stephen Barnes at 307ppkg and £138/ head for some nice, well presented texel x lambs with two pens from the same home selling for the same ppkg. In the Cull section, ewes weren’t just as hot a trade but still good to sell with top ewes selling to £132/ head from N T King. Plenty more can be handled every week!
