Calves
A full row of calves and stirks forward today with something for every buyer, although still a few regular buyers going home empty! A run of smaller calves fit for weaning from Riseborough Farms started the day with the youngest black and white bull calf selling to £105, older calves from the same home sold to £385 for a brb bull and £385 for a Lim heifer. A consignment of similar aged angus calves from D V Lee sold to £450 for bulls and £385 for heifers. Top price of the day was £780 for a well grown suckler bred lim x bull from G Swiers with bulls from the same home to av £720. The top price heifer today was also from G Swiers selling to £555.
