Our prime stock market is held every Monday as a slaughter only market for cattle, sheep and pigs. The live auction provides a transparent marketplace and the ability to achieve the best price and quality premium with competition from a wide range of retail and wholesale buyers.   Payment is guaranteed and made on the same day. 

BLUE TONGUE INFORMATION UPDATE

We are now a DEFRA approved slaughter market to sell cattle and sheep from a Blue Tongue restricted zone and are currently putting procedures in place and checking abattoir designations with a view to starting next Monday 7^th October.

IT IS VITALLY IMPORTANT THAT ALL VENDORS FROM A RESTRICTED ZONE CONTACT US BEFORE BRINGING ANY STOCK TO MARKET TO CHECK ARRANGEMENTS.

Vendors from a restricted zone will need to comply with the following:

• Obtain and comply to a licence EXD 627 - Please click here to download 
• Vehicle/trailers used for transport must be washed and cleansed at the market.  It will then be sprayed with insecticide by the market operator.
• The animals must arrive at the market no earlier than 1 hour after sunrise.  This condition will not apply after 27^th October.
• There must be no multiple pickups or drop-offs.

Following the sale all animals from a restricted zone must then go direct to slaughter either at an approved/designated abattoir outside the zone or any abattoir inside the zone within 24 hours of the conclusion of the market, as well as arrive to be slaughtered at least one hour after sunrise and two hours before sunset.
