SHEEP

A good number of ewes forward today with 57 penned, all met a very fast trade selling to tops of £150/ head for a pen of Suffolk half breeds from E Stonehouse & son, all ewes to average £118.89/ head. Only a handful of lambs penned this week with everyone busy combining or lambs needing another week or two in the good weather, but vendors that made it returned home delighted with nothing in the market under 300ppkg! A fantastic run of beltex x from Erica Avis flew away to £168/ head and topped at 352ppkg. Today’s average sat at a very good 325.37 or 310.53 SQQ.
