SHEEP

Best shape lambs good to sell and others a bit harder to place today! Hannah Lazenby topped the pp/kg with a super beltex x selling to 344ppkg to Knavesmire butchers and SM Bailey wasn’t far behind at 333ppkg for a pair of super beltex to the same buyer! The top grossing lamb was presented by Riseborough farming grossing £162 for a 58kg tex x also selling to Knavesmire butchers. Weight very much sought after this week with very little interest for lambs under 45kgs, with the current bluetongue situation it’s vitally important to speak to the auctioneers before bringing sheep to the red market! Lighter lambs and ewes are a lot better sold in the store market, please contact James Kilner for more details!

109 Lambs sold to £162 from Riseborough Farming.
