SHEEP

A good show of lambs met a reasonable trade once again topping at 370ppkg for a pen of 3 beltex from R A Dobson, the pen also took the top gross price of the day realising £163/ head selling to C K Retail, other topping lambs from the same home sold to 355 and 324 pp/kg again to C K Retail and Harry Bromwich family butchers. Ian Parvin wasn’t far behind selling his well-fed lambs regularly between 300- 329ppkg, and heavy lambs from Brian Pearson were as good to sell as ever topping at £157/ head. Quite a few mule bred sorts in today still good to sell with vendors returning home happy, but it just reflected in the overall Av, which sat at 295.51ppkg, and the SQQ sat at a very respectable 323.32ppkg! 

Just one pen of ewes sold to £120/ head for a pen of Suffolk x from R A Dobson!
