10 Native Breed Young Bulls sold to 275p/kg from H W Cowling & Son and to £1548.18 also from H W Cowling & Son; average 242.40/kg.

92 cull sheep sold to £150.

A few less lambs forward this week but some very well-fed sorts on offer selling to highs of £149/ head from D Hardcastle & son with the same vendors also taking top ppkg at 298/kg. Overall trade was up slightly, to average 264.05 with an SQQ of 260. A good number of ewes penned in the cull section sold to £150 for a good, well fleshed blue texel closely followed by a consignment of pure texels from S Beachell selling to £140/ head, all types keenly bid for made a respectable average of £90. Larger numbers required each week, potential new buyers keen to attend but numbers are needed!
