A decent number of hoggs penned and trade lifted on the week in line with last week’s trends, 187 hoggs in total forward with 96 39-45.5kgs selling to 302/kg to average 273.81, and 68 45-52kgs hoggs selling to tops of 312/kg to average 278. Top per kg overall today was 312 from C & S Crossley and top gross price £156 from R A Dobson. Plenty more can be handled every week! In the Cull section only a small number of ewes found a good trade with best meated texel x selling to £110 from W H Lockwood to average £98.75
