SHEEP
A good number of lambs forward today with plenty of weight on offer! Trade similar to last week on the average, just hovering around the 3.00/kg mark with an SQQ of 298.07/ kg or 297.96 all in. The top price lambs today were presented by David lambert selling to £170 for a 58kg texel x to Fletchers butchers. And Andrew Marshall wasn’t far behind with a 60kg lamb at £160. Stephen Barnes topped the ppkg with his first draw of super texel lambs at 319/ kg for a nice trio of 48kgs lambs, with three more pens from the same home 3.00- 306ppkg, and local vendor Ian Parvin sold 3 pens of good lambs all between 302 and 309ppkg!
In the cull section, texel x ewes topped at £123/ head, tups sold to £158 for a heavy Suffolk and a pen of Swaledales sold to £58/ head, all culls to average £96/ head.
