A lot quieter day today with a lot of vendors making use of the break in weather trying to get drilled up. Certainly, something for every pocket both with breeds and flesh cover which reflected in the averages, but all types got away well. Hoggs topped out at 507/kg for Andrew Dobsons Beltex and Neil Stainthorpe achieved the top gross price at £226 for a 56kg texel. 41% of pens sold from 404/kg to 507/kg, with plenty others around the 380/kg mark to average 388/kg. In the Cull section, ewes sold to £200 for a pen of texels from G Sanderson, mules sold to £120, and a good Suffolk cross sold to £130 from R G & M Chapman.
