York Auction Centre had 87 head of stock through the market including 79 store cattle and 8 calves.

TOP PRICES

Calves sold to £420 for a Limousin X Bull calf from H L T E Smith.

Heifers sold to £1690 for a Limousin X from S & K Asquith.

Steers sold to £1625 for a Limousin X from J B Hornby.

Bulls sold to £1355 for a Limousin X from J Bartram & Son.

Calves

Just a small show in today but some real quality forward, with tops of £420 today for a month-old Limousin x bull from H L & T E smith with others in the consignment just short of the 400 mark. A lovely little consignment from A Burgess sold smaller fresh calves to £350 and heifers to £290, calves in general just back a little bit with the changeable weather just making a few farmer buyers a little more cautious, but overall trade remains strong. More needed every week!
