York Auction Centre had 221 head of stock through the market including 57 store cattle, 21 calves, 137 store cattle and 6 breeding cattle. 

TOP PRICES

Calves sold to £460 for a Simmental X from J G Hunter & Son.

Breeding cattle sold to £1300 for a Limousin X Cow with a Heifer Limousin Calf at foot from L A Clappison. 
Heifers sold to £1355 for a Aberdeen Angus from A E Dunn & Son.

Steers sold to £1425 for a Aberdeen Angus from Richard Nicholson LTD.

Bulls sold to £1170 for a Limousin X from T E & R Dent.

131 store lambs forward with just a couple of vendors missing due to wet weather, best lambs today sold to highs of £104 a head for a super pen of tidy little beltex x from H&B Beevers, plenty lambs penned nicely over £90 with an across the board average of £91.50/ head.  More lambs entered for the next sale in a fortnight!
