FORWARD

York Auction Centre had 82 head of stock through the market including 57 store cattle and 25 calves.

TOP PRICES

Calves sold to £375 for a British Blue Bull from B W & F Rab.

Heifers sold to £1540 for a Aberdeen Angus from A S & L Leadbeater.

Steers sold to £1080 for a Limousin X from I & P Kilner.

Bulls sold to £1160 for a Limousin X from I & P Kilner.

A few calves and weanlings penned today, with a good consignment of fresh calves from Ben Rab selling to a tremendous £375 for a sweet little blue bull selling to a good local farmer. Natives sold to £160 and black and white bulls to £80. Weaned calves sold to £355 from Pintail nest farm. All good quality calves were good to sell but plainer types harder to move, buyers here every week!
