FORWARD

York Auction Centre had 145 head of stock through the market including 91 store cattle, 13 calves and 41 sheep.

TOP PRICES

Calves sold to £390 for a Limousin X Bull from A Burgess.

Heifers sold to £1380 for a Simmental X from P H Waring & Son.

Steers sold to £1600 for a Limousin X from S & K Asquith.

Bulls sold to £1160 for a Limousin X from D F Swinglehurst.

Store lambs

A small show but some very nice lambs penned selling well away to £115 for a good solid texel from Steve Barnes. Beltex lambs sold to £100 from H&B Beevers with a healthy average overall of £92 a head. Lambs already entered for the next sale.
