York Auction Centre had 103 head of stock through the market including 91 store cattle and 12 calves.

TOP PRICES

Calves sold to £580 for a Aberdeen Angus from R & E B Drake.

Heifers sold to £1400 for a British Blue from S & K Asquith.

Steers sold to £1690 for a Simmental X from W E & A Massey.

Bulls sold to £1150 for a Limousin X from T E & R Dent.

Calves

Something for every pocket today! The day started with a run of super fresh calves from A Burgess with bull calves selling to £385, with another lim bull calf straight off the cow from another home at £325, Lim x heifers from A Burgess sold to a very good £395 with others in the consignment not far behind. Some weaned AAX heifers from J L Shaw sold to £310 a head and stronger AAX bulls from R & E B Drake sold to £580, all calves and stirks a joy to sell and all vendors returning home happy!
