York Auction Centre had 126 head of stock through the market including 102 store cattle, 22 calves and 2 breeding cattle.

TOP PRICES

Calves sold to £495 for a Hereford bull calf from D Holgate.

Breeding cattle sold to £1280 for a incalf Limousin X Cow from R & T Dales.

Heifers sold to £1650 for a Limousin X from L A Clappison.

Steers sold to £1650 for a Limousin X from J B Hornby.

Bulls sold to £1325 for a Charolais X from J F Lambert.

Calves

A reasonable show of calves and stirks penned today with some good consignments already entered for next week! The day started with a nice run of fresh calves from regular mart supporters BW & F Rab with blue bulls topping at £310, AAX bulls selling to £290 and black and whites to £118 for s smart little sort. A run of dairy bull and dairy x stirks sold to £495 for a pair of Herefords from D Wilkinson and dairy bull stirks sold to £405 for a super pair of British Friesian bulls from Fryer Bros.
